File this under comics that might have been. A couple of years ago Mike Oeming and Ivan Brandon made an excellent horror/crime comic called THE CROSS BRONX. If you haven't read it, I highly recommend it. It's a very cool story, and some of Oemings best cartooning to date.
A few years before the book came out, Mike had approached me about drawing it. I was interested, but for various reasons I didn't draw the book, and I'm glad I didn't. It was clear to me from the start that Mike Oeming had a much greater emotional attachment to the story than I did. I probably would have done a passable job, but I'm sure I couldn't have brought the kind of visceral intensity to the book that Mike did when he finally drew it himself. Above is the one piece of art I generated for the project. I liked it at the time I did it. Now all I see are the flaws in my work. My marginal work aside, check out THE CROSS BRONX. It's great!

Oeming did a wonderful job on that book but your art isn't chopped liver here either.
