HULK/POWERPACK

I'm throwing a changeup today.  This is the last page of issue #3

of the HULK/POWERPACK miniseries from a couple of years ago.

The other issues were drawn by the incomparable DAVID WILLIAMS.

I really had my work cut out for me just trying to keep up with that dude.

I'm not saying I did keep up, but i was tryin'!  :)

I like this page 'cause it has a jillion characters on it.

THE BRIDE

Todays drawing is The Bride of Frankenstein.

This was done  last month at a DRINK & DRAW event

in Orlando. I had never done a D&D event, which is surprising

because it combines two of my favorite things, drinking and drawing!

The event was hosted by Dave Johnson, Dan Panosian, 

and Jeff Johnson, art ninjas all! It was awesome. 

I highly recommend drinking and drawing in public.

The watercolor effect on this piece was done by dipping my marker

into my beer. I must've been drunk. 

Keep it realz!

COUNT DANTE'

When I first started reading comics in the middle seventies

one of the most interesting characters in the books I bought

wasn't a superhero. It was the guy in this ad, Count Dante'.  

The self proclaimed "Deadliest Man Alive" and his 

Black Dragon Fighting Society always fascinated me. 

I don't know if he was a real guy.  I assume he wasn't.

For me there was a certain mystique to this cheesy ad 

that's still there to this day. 

Below is my version of the deadly Count.....BOOOOYAAAH!!!!

After posting this yesterday, I came across THIS WEBSITE.

A man named Floyd Webb is making a documentary about Count Dante' (who apparently WAS a real guy).  

If you're interested check it out, it's fascinating stuff!

THE WALKING DEAD

THE WALKING DEAD is a great comic! 

It's always my first read on the weeks that it comes out.

If you're not reading it I recommend that you pick it up,

you might be surprised.

Here's a WD commission that I did recently.
